OSHA interpretation letter responding to a memorandum on whether the Hazard Communication Standard applies to acid gas respirator cartridges containing hexavalent chromium. It concludes that, since NIOSH found no exposure to particulate Cr(VI), the cartridges qualify as articles and are not covered by the standard.
