This 1983 OSHA interpretation letter to the AFL-CIO states that pesticide exposures in grain elevators are regulated under the air contaminants standard 29 CFR 1910.1000 with its permissible exposure limits, and that citations for pesticides without standards may be issued under Section 5(a)(1), the general duty clause.
