This 1977 OSHA interpretation letter states that 29 CFR 1903.7(b) authorizes Compliance Safety and Health Officers to take photographs related to an investigation, and that trade secrets are protected under 29 CFR 1903.9. It concludes that photographs taken at the employer's establishment were legally obtained and will remain in the case file.
