OSHA interpretation letter responding to a request to clarify the PPE standard for hand protection in cold weather. It states that 29 CFR 1910.138 requires employers to base glove selection on an evaluation of performance characteristics relative to tasks, conditions, duration of use and identified hazards, using manufacturers' data and employee feedback.
